The ConstructionEngineeringServices groupatDEAisactively seeking a qualified Assistant Construction Project Managerin Portland, OR, with a range of experience and skills for its transportationconstruction project management needs in theOregonRegion. The appropriately qualified applicants will be able to demonstrate an established career in construction management along with, but not limited to the following responsibilities:

* Support and day-to-day management of DEA staff on construction projects, acting under the direction ofregional management staff, owner's staff or independently

* Monitor construction management activities and compliance with project requirements, including contract plans and specifications, agency and jurisdictional requirements, and best trade practices

* Interact and support project client representatives and stakeholders

* Communicate, prepare written letters, and maintain correspondence with client representatives and construction contractors

* Negotiate and prepare construction contract change orders and construction cost estimates

* Review and coordination of quality and quantity documentation fortransportationconstruction projects

* Participate in the proposal writing and review process with regional marketing staff

* Develop schedules, scope of services and fee estimates for projects that are won and approved by the client

Qualifications:

* Bachelor'sDegree in CivilEngineering,Construction Management,or related field preferred

* RegisteredProfessional Engineer in Oregon preferred

* Minimum 5years of professional public or consulting experience managing work onvarioustransportationand infrastructure constructionprojects

* Construction inspection and field support experience on ODOT and/or localagency (cities, counties) projects

* ODOT construction experience preferred
