Service Writer
Job Summary
Serves as a liaison between customers and auto repair shop, providing information regarding a customer’s necessary vehicle repairs to staff.
Primary Responsibilities
- Uses computer software programs to keep track of customers’ profiles and dates of vehicle service
- Possesses excellent customer service to customers both in-person and over the phone
- Provide updates to staff regarding a customer’s vehicle repair needs
- Schedules repair services with the appropriate mechanic
- Provides cost estimates to customers, as well as updates on the timeframe of their vehicle repair
- Update the company’s network with details of the vehicle service performed
- Process orders and cash transactions
- Handles customer complaints and questions, as needed
