The Field Service Engineer that supports our GPT business has responsibility for product service of GPT equipment that has been or is being installed at customer locations.

Key Job Responsibilities:



  • Stay updated on all relevant procedures and processes linked to the role.
  • Respond to Customer service calls and e-mails.
  • Routine service, including:

    • system installations
    • preventive maintenance (PM)
    • Perform IQ/OQ
    • moving instruments at customer site
    • refurbishment of used systems


  • Writing and logging of Service and Install Reports.
  • Troubleshooting and repairing GPT products.
  • Proactively scheduling and performing PM repair visits.
  • Updating CRM system with relevant records and information.
  • Maintaining equipment used in performing tasks outlined above.
  • Ensuring all applicable measurement equipment is in calibration before use.
  • Provides 1st line support to Field Service Engineers who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing systems.
  • Provide training to assigned GPT and/or 3rd party Field Service Engineers as needed and requested.
  • Update FSE training records and training certificates in collaboration with product management and R&D (for service)
  • Support development of training material in collaboration with R&D, Marketing and assigned product launch team members.
  • In liaison with Quality Management and assigned Line Manager, provide recommendations to update relevant procedures and processes (SOP's) linked to the FSE role
  • Represent Field Service in relevant Product Development and other company assigned projects
  • Maintain relevant quality and CRM system records
  • Stay updated on relevant standards and regulations relevant for the assigned product area


Qualifications/Education:



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in chemistry or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a GPT Field Service Engineer
  • Preferably over 10 years of experience in the Life Science area
  • Excellent communication & presentation skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Excellent in English, both written and spoken
  • An in-depth knowledge and utilization of GPT RMT+
  • An in-depth knowledge and utilization of GPT Quality procedures and protocols
  • The ability to support the development of and delivery of assigned Field Service Engineer training and relevant certification
  • An in-depth understanding and application of the GPT CAPA process relevant to the assigned products


Compensation/Benefits:

The company offers a comprehensive benefits package and compensation for this position. The package includes base salary, bonus, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401k/Match.

Salary Range for this position is $80,000-$120,000.
