Liquid Measurement Tech I

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under supervision, responsibilities will include but not limited to the following essential functions:

• New meter installations, configurations, and calibrations
• Maintenance and calibration of measurement equipment
• Identify problems and/or recommend course of action to supervisor in order to decrease costs and increase accuracy
• Maintain multiphase flowmeter data diagnostics reports, calibrations, and testing database
• Verify well tests and accuracy of all liquid measurement meters including Magnetic Flow, Coriolis, Turbine, and Multiphase Flow Meters
• Communicate with flowback and operations teams on new well startups and initial production rate data
• Direct contractors as necessary
• Perform work in a manner that ensures the secure and environmentally safe operation of all assigned equipment
• Ensures Vital Energy employees and contractors adhere to local, company, state, and federal rules, regulations, and policies
• Maintains regulatory compliance by coordinating closely with the EH&S and Air Quality departments.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Education: High school diploma is required
• Experience: Must have 5 years' experience in measurement, including meter installation, meter proving, gas analysis, standard measurement reporting
• Familiarity with Coriolis, Magnetic Flow and Multiphase Flow Meters; products and communication protocols
• Must meet and maintain eligibility requirements to drive a company vehicle
• Must have general knowledge of safe oil and gas production operations
• Must have working knowledge of engineering principles and a comprehensive understanding of measurement systems
• Demonstrate proficiency with computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Must be able to perform simple math calculations, have a mechanical aptitude and possess good writing skills
• Must be dependable and able to work overtime when necessary
• Must have good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
• Must be self-motivated, possess a strong work ethic, ability to work with minimum supervision and demonstrate cooperative behavior in the workplace
• Must possess a desire to automate repetitive tasks and utilize data from multiple sources to achieve differential results

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Work is normally performed outdoors where exposure to conditions of extreme heat/cold, fumes and gases is common. Noise level is moderate to loud and includes sounds of construction, equipment operations, and trucks and like equipment. Job hazards include working in normal light and heavy construction activities and working around pressured propane, water, electricity, and waste lines and under all weather conditions. Work includes handling hazardous materials on a routine basis. May work in areas where H2S is present. Overtime is sometimes required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Work normally requires finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination to operate computer keyboard at moderate skill level. Work may require frequent pushing, pulling, or carrying 50-to-75-pound objects such as tools, equipment work operations. Work involves standing and walking most of the time but will also involve sitting and driving for extended periods sometimes over rough terrain.
