About the Project

Through the Private Sector Engagement Modernization Contract (PSEMC), Dexis supports the U.S. Agency for International Development's (USAID's) PSE Hub to expand and deepen collaboration with the private sector to achieve greater development outcomes. The PSE Hub's mission is to create the institutional conditions, operating infrastructure, and capacity necessary to expand engagement with the private sector in the United States and partner countries. The PSE Hub works to transform and modernize how USAID does development by institutionalizing USAID's PSE policy and delivering capacity- and systems-building support for PSE across all sectors, operating units, and countries where USAID operates.

About the Position

The Workforce Analyst will work on the USAID-funded PSEMC project, and will work under the Future Workforce Team within USAID's Private Sector Engagement (PSE) Hub. The Analyst will play a key role in supporting and leading internal analysis of USAID's workforce that work on private sector engagement (PSE). The Analyst will perform analysis and provide support related to more than one of the PSE Hub's program areas including: recruiting, staffing, training/development, performance management, employee engagement, organizational development, and workforce planning.

This is a full-time position requiring three (3) days per week in person at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, DC. This expectation may change following any future changes to Agency requirements. Ability to travel up to 20% internationally on short notice required.

Responsibilities

This is a new workstream and the person coming into this role will have the opportunity to strongly shape how the PSE thinks about data around the members of the workforce that do PSE.



  • Facilitate the Future Workforce team's private sector engagement-related data collection strategy
  • Participate in the development, review, and finalization of quantitative and qualitative analytics projects related to the future workforce initiative.
  • Implement methods to capture, monitor, evaluate, forecast, and report progress toward achieving strategic private sector engagement workforce objectives.
  • Provide workforce metrics, reports, and analysis to enhance senior leadership's understanding of the PSE workforce.
  • Prepare and present reports summarizing workforce analysis findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Support Talent Analytics- attend monthly meetings, support workforce tagging efforts for PSE
  • Support the future workforce team's implementation of programs to meet staff certification and credentialing needs.
  • Serve as a liaison to USAID University and provide guidance on course registration, attendance, and completion through the training system of record. Monitor course attendance data for quarterly reporting.
  • Respond to inquiries via the AskPSE help desk regarding training system and course-related issues.
  • Monitoring: provide workforce metrics, reports, and analysis to broaden senior leadership and management's understanding of the PSE workforce and inform their decision-making.
  • Use analytical tools to create engaging and easy-to-understand visuals about the PSE workforce


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years (or Master's degree and three (3) years) of progressive experience in workforce planning, data analysis, human resources, or a related field.
  • Experience in developing and implementing workforce strategies, data collection and analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages (i.e., R Script), proficiency in statistical software (i.e., Stata, SAS, SPSS, Python) and data visualization tools (i.e.Tableau).
  • Knowing all the ins and outs of Excel is essential which includes pivot tables, lookups, and possibly power query. Including creating dashboards and being able to create them in Excel via pivot tables & functions
  • Strong organizational, project management, and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, ability to multitask, and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent residency with the ability to obtain and maintain a Facilities Access Clearance (FAC) or Secret-level Security Clearance is required.


PREFERRED



  • Active FAC or Secret-level security clearance is preferred.
  • Experience in creating and applying diversity and inclusion metrics is an asset.
  • Familiarity with USAID or similar international development organizations is a plus.
  • Conversational fluency in a foreign language (French, Spanish, or Arabic preferred)
  • Thorough knowledge of and proficiency in the use of Google Suite systems, such as Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Meet.
  • Familiarity with creating dashboards Excel via pivot tables & functions.
