Summary of Position
This full-time senior online professional faculty position is in the UNH College of Professional Studies' Online Center for Educator Preparation and shares oversight responsibility for the planning, administration, evaluation, and improvement of the academic and administrative programs, services, and functions of the center. The College of Professional Studies' Online Center for Educator Preparation prepares educators who are highly qualified and committed to maximizing learning across all ages and demographic groups, birth - Grade 12. The ideal candidate will hold a New Hampshire Experienced Educator Certification and at least 10 years teaching experience in one of the following disciplines: Early Childhood Education, Special Education (K-12), Elementary Education, Middle or High School level Mathematics or Reading and Writing. As part of their workload, this senior online professional faculty will have responsibility for administrative functions, budget and grants management, and managing external relations including with school district administrators, cooperating schools, and the NH DOE. Actual teaching load will vary with other responsibilities but will not exceed four courses per fiscal year. This is a 12-month, full-time, non-tenure-track appointment.

Acceptable Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Education Required
  • 10 years teaching experience PK-12, current NH Experienced Educator Certification in one of the following areas: Early Childhood Education, General Special Education, Elementary Education, middle or upper-level Mathematics, or Reading and Writing, experience in higher education.
  • Experience leading teacher certification programs in an online, asynchronous delivery with a part-time faculty model.
  • Experience building relationships with external partners including school district administrators, cooperating schools, and state department of education.
  • Experience leading program review and maintaining oversight of certification requirements.

Duty/Responsibility
Curriculum development, course instruction, and program direction


Duty/Responsibility
Direct the development, strategic planning, implementation, administration and continuous improvement of all support services and administrative functions of the CPS Online (Granite State Division) Education Programs, including operating policies, procedures, and program approval.


Duty/Responsibility
Develop and manage budgets for the academic programs of the CPS Online Education Programs. Oversee all grant budgets and reporting associated with education programs funded at both the State and National levels, including NH DOE, DHHS and federal DOE grants. (Excluding CWEP)


Duty/Responsibility
Serve as certifying official for the NH DOE, responsible for evaluation and recommendation of all teacher candidates at the College (shared responsibility) and maintain internal database of program completers.


Duty/Responsibility
Provide oversight of CPSO education faculty.
