*The range provided is based on cost of living/geography and what we believe is reasonable in the market at the time of posting. This role may be eligible for annual bonus and annual merit increase, as well as long term compensation. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors.

How You'll Perform the Role

  • Understands and follows safety procedures/policies at each facility.
  • Diagnoses and completes repairs; serves as contact point for escalated maintenance problems.
  • Serve as liaison between plant staff and Engineering, providing first line of communication.
  • Assists in development of capital projects; identifies vendors, solicits bids, completes documentation as required.
  • Weekly report out of activities, open items and progress.
  • Compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products
  • Interprets engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, or formulas for management or engineering staff
  • Verifies that equipment is being operated and maintained according to quality assurance standards.
  • Recommends modifications to existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability
  • Applies statistical quality control procedures to production test data
  • Other duties as assigned



What We Need From You

  • High school diploma or GED; technical degree/some college preferred.
  • Driver's license.
  • Passport preferred.
  • Travel up to 75%.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in a maintenance/production environment or previous Engineering Technician experience.
  • High level of experience with paper bag making machinery, Garant, Sunhope and Holweg Weber preferred.
  • Strong communication skills to serve as intermediary between plant operations, vendors, and Engineering Technical Service Manager.
  • Electrical training/experience single and three phase systems, low voltage controls and electronic safety systems.
  • Experience with VFD Drives and PLCs a plus.
  • Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required.
  • Previous work experience in mechanical, electrical and controls necessary.
  • Experience operating lifting equipment; forklift certification (will certify on site by site).
  • Familiar with all OSHA and GMP standards & requirements
  • Strong computer and math skills; experience Excel / Smartsheet preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated mechanical/analytical skills; ability to interpret/create engineering drawings.
  • Ability to work 12-hour day.
  • Work overtime, weekends, holidays as necessary.
  • Satisfactorily complete training courses as determined by management.
