Job Summary:

The Medical Staff Quality & Peer Review Data Manager is responsible for organizing the peer review activities of the UVMHN Medical Staff, including but not limited to overseeing and managing the ongoing evaluation of healthcare providers' professional practice performance (OPPE), the focused evaluation of healthcare providers' professional practice performance (FPPE), and the collection and organization of provider volume reports. This role involves collecting, analyzing, and reporting data related to provider performance, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The Data Manager will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify areas for improvement, implement quality improvement initiatives, and monitor compliance with regulatory standards.

Education/Qualifications:

  • Required

  • Clinical professional with a bachelor's degree in a specialized field

  • Preferred

  • RN

  • Master's degree in a health care related field

Experience:

  • Required

  • Minimum of 3 years in health care administrative support or provider data field.

  • Experience with data management software systems.

  • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite to include Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel

  • Preferred

  • Experience with Credentialing, Privileging, and/or Medical Staff Services including working knowledge of Joint Commission standards, CMS requirements, and applicable Federal and State regulations

  • Experience working with physicians and other providers

  • Experience with provider management software systems, specifically related to medical staff data and/or credentialing
