Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Risk Manager to support the FLRAA Program Office. This position is based in Huntsville, AL. Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Identify potential risks that could impact the program, including technical, financial, operational, and strategic risks. Conduct thorough risk assessments to evaluate the likelihood and potential impact of identified risks.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and plans to minimize the impact of identified risks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that risk mitigation measures are effectively executed.
- Continuously monitor identified risks and the effectiveness of mitigation efforts. Provide regular reports to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key risks, mitigation status, and any changes in risk profiles.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management framework tailored to the needs of the Army PEO Aviation FLRAA Program Office. Ensure that risk management practices are integrated into program planning and decision-making processes.
- Ensure that risk management practices comply with all relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines. Stay informed of changes in regulatory requirements and adjust risk management processes accordingly.
- Conduct risk management training sessions and workshops for program staff and stakeholders. Promote a culture of risk awareness and proactive risk management within the program office.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all risk management activities, including risk assessments, mitigation plans, and monitoring reports. Ensure that documentation is easily accessible for audits and reviews.
- Work closely with program managers, engineers, financial analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive understanding of risks and their potential impacts. Foster effective communication and collaboration across teams.
Required Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Risk Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, RMP, CRISC) is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, preferably within a defense or aviation program environment. Experience supporting Army PEO Aviation programs is highly desirable.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- In-depth understanding of risk management principles, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Familiarity with Army PEO Aviation program structures and processes is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and tools. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be a US Citizen and have/able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time.
