Keysight Technologies Semiconductor Infrastructure Solutions Business is currently seeking to hire a Production Supervisor. The responsibility is to supervise the production of optical components for Laser Interferometer Positioning systems which provide very precise information for dimensional measurements or motion control.

This job position is to provide leadership to the Optics Fabrication team to execute and meet production goals in fabricating extremely tight specification prisms, rhomboids, and parallel plates from rough glass substrates to finished optical components. Both manual and automated glass fabrication machines such as muti-axes milling, CNC saws, grinders, hand bevellers, slurry polishers are used, and cleanroom processes. The selected individuals will ensure the team follows established procedures and policies to complete their work assignments to meet customers' expectations on quality and delivery.


Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team of technicians engaged in optical fabrication processes. Provide guidance, training, and support to team members to ensure consistent performance and adherence to quality standards.

Collaborate with production planners and managers to develop and implement production schedules. Ensure that production targets are met while maintaining high-quality standards and compliance with safety protocols.

Implement and enforce quality control procedures to ensure that optical components meet industry standards and customer specifications. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues and lead process improvement activities and metric tracking.

Conduct training programs for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in optical fabrication techniques. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.

Maintain accurate records of production activities, including production outputs, quality control data, and equipment maintenance logs. Prepare regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) for management review.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and design, to address technical challenges and improve product design for manufacturability.


Qualifications

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working and/or supervising in manufacturing.
  • Must have formal training in a technical field such as electronics, mechanics, chemistry, or physics.
  • Proven experience in optical fabrication processes, including grinding, polishing, coating, and assembly.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of optical manufacturing equipment and processes.
  • Familiarity with quality control standards and procedures.
  • Must have strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be proficient with PC and Microsoft office suite.
