Adjunct Instructor, Abnormal Psychology Job Details Job Location : UHSP main campus - St. Louis, MO Position Type : Faculty (Part-time/Adjunct) Education Level : Masters Degree Salary Range : $3,900.00 - $4,500.00 Salary/year Travel Percentage : None Job Shift : Day shift Job Category : Academic - Teaching, research, service Summary The University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy is seeking an instructor to teach Abnormal Psychology in-person Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 12:00-12:50pm in the Spring 2025 Semester. This course explores the causes, symptoms and treatments of psychopathology, while students develop a deeper understanding of a selected psychological disorder through examining treatment research and a case study. Students will form a multifaceted understanding of psychopathology by studying behavioral, cognitive, social and biological influences that contribute to its development. Through their research, students will identify evidence-based treatment practices, including both medication-based and psychosocial therapies. Students develop information literacy, ethical reasoning and written communication skills in the context of an area of psychopathology of particular interest to the student. Experience with active learning techniques, instructional technology, and learning management systems (D2L Brightspace or others) are welcome. Compensation is based on the number of sections taught and is commensurate with degree and experience.
