Job Summary

Performs troubleshooting, moves, adds, changes of Unified Communications Manager and Peripherals, Contact Center Enterprise and/or Express systems within established Prisma Health service level agreements. Maintains accurate records of maintenance, inventory, IP addressing, Server/Application associated with the UC/CC infrastructure. Proactively monitors UC health and verifies configuration backups of related systems. Troubleshoots, diagnoses and solves minor to medium UC/CC issues. Liaison between carriers and value-added resellers. Handles incidents, problems and requests within the defined Prisma Health IT service level agreements. Available onsite or remote during scheduled maintenance downtimes to lead or assist in new implementations, upgrades or problem resolution. Assists with unscheduled UC/CC outages. Utilizes network and UC/CC infrastructure monitoring tools to monitor utilization and troubleshoot UC/CC issues. Assists UC Engineer Level II and Sr. UC Engineers when required. Independently manages small to medium network projects. Shares On-Call rotation and acts as a technical resource for other UC Administrators and Analysts.

  • Identifies and researches mid-level problems, develop conceivable solutions, then select, and implement the most favorable option for the business need while adhering to established Prisma Health IT standards and Cisco and Industry best practices. Designs, provides cost analysis, project schedules, and updates, installs and configures, mid-level solutions using UC and CC infrastructure systems. Completes project requests to include the addition and or relocation of UC and CC equipment within established timelines. Completes the necessary documentation during and after project completion.

  • Troubleshoots intermediate level Incidents and Problems relating to hardware and or software issues. Appropriately escalates unresolved issues

  • Prioritizes work assignments including Incidents, Problems and MAC orders ensuring response is within the established service level agreements.

  • Validates and ensures carrier and vendor's work meet Prisma Health's IT standards and Industry Best Practices.

  • Interacts with UC Engineer II and Sr. UC Engineers to assist with Large Network Projects.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory/Management Responsibilities

  • This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.

Minimum Requirements

  • Education - Associate degree in a related field of study

  • Experience - Two (2) years of experience

In Lieu Of

  • In Lieu of the education and experience requirements noted above, a High School Diploma or equivalent, Network + Certification or equivalent and two (2) years of Network/UC/CC Infrastructure may be considered

  • In Lieu of the education and experience requirements noted above, a High School Diploma or equivalent and four (4) years of Network/UC/CC Infrastructure experience may be considered.

Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

  • CCT Certificationpreferred

  • Certified Cisco Network Associate (CCNA) - Preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • A basic understanding of Cisco routing and switching technologies with intermediate knowledge with Cisco voice services Network + or CCT Certification

  • Ability to design and implement functional networks

  • Ability to configure, manage, and maintain essential network devices

  • Ability to use devices such as switches and routers to segment network traffic and create resilient networks

  • Ability to identify benefits and drawbacks of existing network configurations

  • Ability to implement network security, standards, and protocols

  • Ability to troubleshoot network problems

  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of at least 3 of the listed UC Technologies: Unified Communications Manager (SME, SRST, CUBE) ,UCS C-Series (UC on UCS), ESXi, Unity Connection, CER, UCCX, UCCE or PCCE, Acqueon, Upstream Works, Aceyus Call Director, Singlewire, Call Accounting (CDR) and Sagemcom XMedius Fax.

  • Ability to support the creation of virtualized networks - Preferred
