STATUS: Seasonal - 40hr/wk

The Salvation Army in Tempe, AZ is looking to fill a Kettle Coordinator position. The successful candidate for this position will have previous clerical experience, good organizational skills, and be able to communicate effectively.

The Kettle Coordinator will hire seasonal workers, be responsible for orientation and training of kettle workers. This person will create daily and weekly schedules and schedule volunteers. This person will make sure correct paperwork is provided, collected and submitted to DHQ in a timely manner. This position will be the main point of contact for dealing with issues as they arise and escalating serious or potentially serious issues to the Corps Officer. Other duties will include but are not limited to counting and processing all money per policy, ensuring all employee schedule information is collected and processed for payroll.

QUALIFICATIONS:



  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years of clerical, office and/or supervisory experience
  • Previous Kettle experience is a plus
  • Valid Arizona driver's license & able to satisfactorily complete the Fleet Safety programs
  • Must be able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills
  • Able to pass required a criminal background check

The employee must have the ability to operate a telephone, desktop or laptop computer, as well as the ability to access and produce information from a computer, and to understand written information.
