Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Data Collector at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

  • Maintains stock and ordering for clinical/research materials; maintains stock and orders for office materials; maintains petty cash; provides support for patient intake and registration.
  • Processes billing for neuropsychological evaluations; processes in-patient billing for Neuropsychology and Rehab Psychology; monitors billing accuracy; maintains and processes payroll data.
  • Oversees and manages efficiency and accuracy of admission and discharge records; maintains documentation of archived records; processes and responds to requests for records.
  • Oversees and ensures smooth operations of office management including supervision and assignment of staff to specific responsibilities as necessary. Supervises Patient Representatives to ensure timely scheduling and provision of services. Monitors financial status of clinic patients and identifies current treatment status; ensures submission of Provider Treatment Forms on a timely basis to ensure clinical continuity.
  • Maintains schedules for data collection and follow-up; maintains contact with research participants and minimizes loss to follow-up; conducts follow-up interviews; enters data and maintains confidential data base for research projects.
  • Monitors participant enrollment; maintains and manages data bases; provides data summaries; maintains participant registries.
  • Monitors and maintains research related certifications for data collection and research ethics; assists with preparation of annual reports; assists with dissemination efforts.
  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

1. Minimum of 3 years experience in medical or rehabilitation setting involving office management and research administration

2. Literate; computer skills including internet research, website development; spreadsheet, financial and database management; word processing and graphics

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

1. B.A or B.S. with training in medical administration / medical office management and research administration

2. Experience with statistics
