Intern, Corporate Finance, Planning & Analysis

The Corporate Finance Intern reports to the Vice President of Finance and will help provide total company support during the annual operating plan process. Desired outcomes include financial report orchestration, time management, day to day operational execution, collaborative teamwork and business decision support to colleagues and senior leaders.

Day-to-Day:

  • Partner with members of FP&A and key stakeholders across all of PTC
  • Assist and complete ad hoc projects as necessary
  • Participate in the yearly annual operating plan process
  • Communicate with functional business managers and finance colleagues regarding significant variances from budget/forecast
  • Work with peers across the business finance organization to develop trusted relationships that deliver strong interlocks and seamless operational experiences
  • Collaborate with managed org. liaisons to align total business plan and LRP to company goals and initiatives

Skills:

  • Technical aptitude (r.e. MS Excel & PowerPoint)
  • Enjoys the challenge of unfamiliar tasks
  • Learns quickly when facing new problems
  • Makes good decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, experience, and judgment
  • Customer Focus, establishes and maintains effective relationships with (internal) customers and gains their trust and respect
  • Ability to work in a fast pace, global organization going through transformation

Basic Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate or Graduate candidate at an accredited school
  • Curious
  • Enjoys working hard and learning on the fly
  • Open to feedback and guidance
