JOB DESCRIPTION

Step into a dynamic territory sales role where you'll collaborate with insurance brokers and general agents to drive new business. Using consultative selling, you'll aim to exceed revenue targets by delivering tailored, value-driven solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Close new business sales, maximizing financial gains with every deal.
  • Proactively manage pool of business prospects to drive the right solutions, aligning client needs with company goals to drive solutions.
  • Drive new sale strategies and rate recommendations based on financial analysis, with an eye on crafting solutions that are win-win-win.
  • Apply analytical skills and lead deal tactics, using comprehensive market knowledge, in collaboration with cross-functional peers.
  • Create and deliver compelling pitches and presentations (in-person and virtually), clearly communicating product features, benefits and value to prospects and brokers.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact, facilitating communication between brokers and internal teams to ensure an exceptional buying experience.
  • Build high-quality partnerships with external stakeholders through effective communication and relationship-building.
  • Lead the development of the company's RFP responses, collaborating cross-functionally; adhere to processes and timelines and provide thorough information to support creation of compelling and competitive bids.
  • Seek out and report competitive intelligence to support product development and market positioning.
  • Manage a pipeline with a 2+ year outlook, driving revenue growth using tools like Salesforce, Highspot, and LinkedIn, ensuring data is always complete, accurate, and up-to-date.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of employee benefits outside sales experience (bachelor's degree preferred, but experience may substitute).
  • Ideal candidate resides in the Maryland - Washington Metropolitan Area (excluding the District of Columbia).
  • Ability to travel within territory up to 75%, including potential overnight stays.
  • Valid driver's license with use of personal vehicle and ability to sustain expenses until reimbursed.
  • Strong business math and analytical skills to position products and pricing that meet assigned revenue goals.
  • Excellent consultative selling and negotiation skills with the ability to influence decision makers.
  • Proven ability to manage overlapping priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with special emphasis in formal business presentations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with others of all organizational levels.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills with ability to work cross-functionally to resolve issues and drive results.
  • Outstanding time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and Salesforce CRM.

Licenses
  • Active state life and health producer license or ability to obtain within 90 Days required; must maintain license through completing continuing education requirements.
  • Valid driver's license upon hire required.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.
Pay Grade 18. $56,900 - $119,200 (national range)
