Guardian Glass is looking for an Environmental, Health, and Safety Engineer to join our team at our float glass facility in Kingsburg, CA! In this role, you will utilize your broad environmental, health and safety knowledge to assist in building sustainable systems. Ideally you will bring a strong environmental background, coupled with EHS manufacturing experience. This position balances Safety and Environmental with a 30% focus on safety and a 70% focus on environmental. What You Will Do * Ensure compliance with all issued permits, with a heavy focus on air permit requirements * Maintain required records for all environmental, health and safety media * Assist in the development of a safety management system * Update existing and develop new EHS training programs * Conduct and review safety audits, hazard assessments and hazardous waste inspections * Ability to review environmental concerns related to permitting activities for water, air and waste, Develop, propose, and be accountable for improvements. * Partner with plant employees at all levels to build capability and ensure alignment with the environmental topics, Safety Vision and principles. * Proactively maintain knowledge of current and emerging federal, state, and local environmental regulatory requirements affecting the facility. * Promote and raise awareness of emerging environmental impacts, legislation, or best practices with plant leadership and operations. * Support, identify, and solve environmental issues through plant leadership and operations. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) * Experience working in an Environmental, Health and Safety role in a manufacturing/Industrial environment What Will Put You Ahead * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental, Industrial Hygiene, or related field * Experience in Title V and carbon emission management. * Experience in EH&S compliance management * Experience leading and developing EHS initiatives and programs This role is not sponsorship.
