Join Our Team as a Corporate Communications Generalist Intern!

Are you passionate about internal communications? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual to coordinate our marketing communications function. As a Corporate Communications Generalist Intern, you'll be crucial in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.

This role will support our Chief Marketing & Communications Officer and Senior Managers of Internal and Corporate Communications at S&C Electric Company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and develop content for company intranet, digital, and print signage.
• Write select columns and feature stories for the internal company magazine.
• Support the tactical development and implementation for internal communications campaigns and quarterly leadership meetings.
• Content creation and strategy development for press releases, social media, and the S&C blog.
• Social media campaign support and management.
• Assist with the writing and producing of internal and external company videos.
• Assist in the completion of photo shoots to support recruitment, internal communications, and marketing.
• Generate flyers, pamphlets, social media posts, and advertisements as necessary to support recruitment marketing campaign led by senior corporate communications specialist.
• Perform general editorial background/research for internal and external communications.

What you'll Need To Succeed:

Job Requirements ( To select this job at a minimum you must have the following):

• Must be in good standing as a student at the bachelor's degree level at an accredited university majoring in Communications, Marketing, or a related major and returning to school after the work session.
• Ability to commute and work onsite at S&C in Rogers Park, Chicago, IL
• Comfortable working in a hybrid work setting.
• Ability to work full-time beginning Summer 2025 for a minimum of 10 weeks.
• Excellent writing and proofreading skills and understanding of AP-style writing
• Working knowledge of the video production process
• Familiar with SharePoint
• Interpersonal skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite
• LinkedIn
