MILIEU MANAGER - Children's Behavioral Health

Responsibilities

This position is afternoons 3pm - 11:30pm and every other weekend.

The Milieu Manager is a member of the interdisciplinary team who assists in total client care through implementation of appropriate interventions within the therapeutic environment. The primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention and coaching in the moment. The Milieu Manager is additionally responsible for the implementation of programs, training, and patient care. The Milieu Manager will collaborate work with the Behavioral Care Technicians under the supervision of the House Supervisor. The Milieu Manager will oversee and manage the milieu coordinators on the daily operations of the unit alongside of the house supervisor. They will work with the Nurse Educator and assist with floor training of orientation.


Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position.

Education

High school diploma/GED required. BA or BS Degree in a related mental health field is preferred.

Experience

Three (3) years' experience in a children's mental health setting preferred.

Licensure/Certification

Successful completion of CPR certification, age-specific training and the current patient aggression management training, including appropriate use of Seclusion and Restraint, within 90 days of employment.

Additional Requirements: Must maintain a valid driver's license and complete CPR certification and Crisis Intervention Training (CPI) Instructor training. Must maintain a working knowledge of regulatory standards: OhioMHAS/TJC/CMS/TRICARE. Must maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and have the ability to communicate verbal and written information in a clear, organized, and positive manner to all age groups. Available to work flexible shifts as needed.
