Description
Acara Solutions is currently seeking Quality Control Inspectors for our client located in Austin, TX near Round Rock.
Pay rate: $19.50/hr. (+10% shift differential)
Available Shifts:
2nd shift Mon-Fri 2:00pm-10:30pm Candidates will be required to train on 1st shift for 4-12 weeks!
Job Responsibilities : Other duties may be assigned.
o Perform detailed product inspection and/or audits on more complex products
o May make process recommendations and suggest improvements in inspection procedures
o Under little or no supervision, performs product inspection and/or audits of quality control programs
o Perform packaging line and manufacturing inspections, and sampling and testing of incoming components and raw materials
o Ensure in-process and finished products meet company standards
o May apply approval or rejection labels to bulk raw materials once analytical data is evaluated
o May assess draft and final label copy, utilizing knowledge of labeling regulations
o Minimize down time by reducing production rework and recalls
o Work independently with minimal supervision
Job Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
o Ability to read and interpret prints, drawings and specs
o Ability to check for workmanship, dimensional specs, tolerance and overall function of the product
o May determine method procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other team members
o Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment to resolve problems that may occur in the process or final inspection operation o Solid understanding of all relevant inspection techniques
o Good verbal and written communication skills
o Good MS Office, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
o Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Education, Certifications and Experience
o 3-5+ years production or related work experience
o High School Diploma or equivalent
o Vocational or technical training
