Position Summary The College of Letters, Arts and Sciences (CLAS) at MSU Denver invites applications for the position of Building Manager and Assistant Coordinator for our newest acquisition - the 800 Kalamath Building. The Kalamath Building houses the Department of Music's Jazz and American Improvised Music, Mariachi, and Commercial Music & Technology programs. This is a full-time, 12 month position reporting to the Chair of the Department of Music with additional reporting for certain tasks to the Coordinator of the Kalamath Building. The individual selected for this position will work closely and collaboratively with the Jazz and American Improvised Music faculty and Kalamath Building Coordinator. They will be responsible for ensuring front-desk coverage during operational hours, track expenditures and revenue for the building, coordinate fiscal and maintenance requests through university systems (Workday, etc.), manage student employment needs, and provide support for events and coordinated efforts with community groups utilizing the space. Occasional evening and weekend work will be necessary. Salary for Announcement Under Colorado law, MSU Denver is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role and should not offer a salary outside of the range posted in this job announcement. This range takes into account a variety of factors including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, analysis of internal equity, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position. Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The anticipated hiring range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $55,000 - $69,000. This position is paid monthly and is eligible for MSU Denver benefits.
