Corewell Health
United States, Michigan, Grand Rapids

At Helen DeVos Children's Hospital cardiac imaging is the cornerstone of pediatric cardiology and most patients referred to our care will have at least one study. The modalities are ultrasound (echocardiography), CT and MRI. Basic imaging that can be performed by any cardiologist is transthoracic echocardiography. Anything else involves specialization; in echocardiography this includes transesophageal, intracardiac, fetal, and 3D imaging. CT and MRI are another separate area of specialization in cardiac imaging. Imaging that is based in echocardiography is within the division of pediatric and congenital cardiology.

  • Accommodating for rapid access (often same day) testing in our outpatient clinics.
