This role is part of Blue Origin corporate functions, providing centralized support across Blue Origin business unit teams and locations.

We are seeking an experienced and forward thinking Strategic and Master Planning Manager to drive the master planning and strategic initiatives for our company's multiple sites. This role involves the overall responsibility for developing, coordinating, and implementing comprehensive master plans that align with the organization's long-term objectives and growth strategies. This role will collaborate with functional teams and external agencies to investigate and manage grants and financial incentive packages. The successful candidate will bring expertise in strategic planning, site development, and infrastructure optimization to ensure that all company locations are built and maintained to meet operational needs and sustainability goals.

This role includes the following key responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the execution of master plans for all company sites, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategic objectives.
  • Conduct thorough site assessments and analyses to identify opportunities for development, optimization, and sustainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including facilities management, real estate, finance, and operations, to create integrated and cohesive master plans.
  • Engage with external agencies and internal functional teams to investigate and manage grants and financial incentive packages that support site and infrastructure development.
  • Monitor and manage the implementation of site master plans, ensuring that projects are executed on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential challenges and barriers in site development and infrastructure projects.
  • Provide leadership and guidance in the evaluation and selection of new site locations, ensuring alignment with strategic growth plans.
  • Develop and implement policies, standards, and best practices for site planning and development to ensure consistency and quality across all locations.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports and strategic recommendations to senior management, outlining site development plans, project progress, and key performance metrics.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to site planning and development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in strategic planning, master planning, site development, facilities management, or a related role.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing site master plans and strategic initiatives.
  • Experience in collaborating with functional teams and external agencies to investigate and manage grants and financial incentive packages is highly desirable.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in site planning software and tools, such as AutoCAD, GIS, or similar platforms as well as Microsoft Office Suite, particularly in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in planning, project management, or related areas (e.g., AICP, PMP).
  • Previous experience in securing and managing grants and financial incentive packages in collaboration with cross-functional teams and external agencies.
  • Experience working in the aerospace industry in collaboration with applicable Government agencies (NASA, US Space Force, Space Florida, etc.), serving companies that develop and operate launch and space systems, and in applying sustainability planning and green building practices.
  • Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations and requirements related to site development and planning.

Compensation Range for:

WA applicants is $125,227.50-$175,318.50

Other site ranges may differ

Benefits

Benefits include: Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.

Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.

Discretionary bonus: Bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
