Summary

The intern will be working with the combine functional team to support the engineering team in design, modeling/drawing creation, prototype build, work order writing, laboratory testing, field testing, and manufacturing of various subsystems of a combine harvester.



Responsibilities

Responsibilities

    Prepare and complete designs, layouts and drawings for specific elements of products being developed and/or improved per project plan and schedule consistent with assigned project and product line objectives.
  • Use appropriate engineering techniques and consider manufacturing processes and technology to produce cost effective designs considering applicable safety and environmental regulations and standards.
  • Perform engineering calculations to determine the size and strength of parts and solve design problems
  • Resolve functional and mechanical problems on assigned elements of projects.
  • Travel to plants, supplier facilities and product validation/customer field locations to resolve problems, explore design alternatives and gain product knowledge.
  • Prepare engineering change requests, part requisitions, work orders, parts lists, laboratory and field test requests and reports as directed by project leader and assure that engineering projects remain on schedule.
  • Become familiar with use of CNH engineering standards and ISO work procedures and work instructions, complete CAD (Creo) and other training on engineering data management system (TC) to gain proficiency for required assignments.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Pursuing a minimum of a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Ag Science, Electrical Engineering, or related degree area

This position will pay between $18-$35/hour.
