Production Engineering Project Lead

Introduction to the job

Wilton Production Engineering requires a dedicated Project Lead to address critical issues, team guidance, and proper planning to reach volume production.

Role and responsibilities
  • Development of NPI Product line to "volume worthy" production
  • Interface with multi-functional sectors (Design, Logistics, Finance, etc) for issue resolution
  • Key deliverable tracking and reporting to Sr Management
  • Technical Synchronization of output schedule between departments
  • Rolling Financial Forecast Reporting
  • New Design input based on lessons learned and cross-functional input
  • Capital Equipment Requirements + Cost
  • Independent Qualification Implementation Strategy
  • Detailed risk analysis
  • Design influencing manufacturability
  • Design process flow, qualification gates
  • Cycle Time analysis
  • Define Cost @ ASML Targets
  • Manufacturing Requirements Definition including:

    Parts / Plant / People/ Product / Procedures / Tools as Manufacturing Deliverables

    Lessons Learned Documentation / Implementation

    Including Historical Issue Review and Ambition list maintenance

  • Develop Manufacturing readiness plans to introduce new products into Production across multiple projects.
  • These plans include timelines and key milestones for proto readiness and ramp to pilot and volume.
  • Develop budgetary needs for facilities, capital equipment and headcount.
  • Communicate Manufacturing readiness plans to Business Line and Management.
  • Lead a cross functional team from Production Engineering, Operations and Logistics to implement Manufacturing readiness plans for new product industrialization.
  • Evaluate subassemblies for Make/Buy decision
  • Report production status, issues, gaps and barriers to program Management and Sr. Management.
  • Timely escalate in case of issue that can't be solved within the own circle of influence.
  • Owns coordination and prioritization of support from/to other departments
Education and experience
  • BS/MS in Engineering or related technical field
  • Minimum of (5) years' experience in manufacturing of high-tech and complex products.
  • Minimum of (5) years' experience in project leadership
  • History of Implementing improvement projects
Skills
  • Broad technical and business knowledge.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Highly motivated and takes the initiative Works well in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in ERP (Preference SAP).
  • Good communication skills

Essential Job Functions

The essential job functions for this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work in a fast-paced office environment, including working in a standing or seated position for long periods sometimes exceeding 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
  • Commute to ASML's facility and report to work on a regular and timely basis and complete the scheduled workday on a consistent basis
  • Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to finger, handle and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach and stretch
  • Occasionally required to move around the campus
  • Perform office tasks using simple hand grasping, fine hand manipulation and reach associated with assigned tasks such as paperwork, computer keyboarding (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint), filing, calculating and use of telephone or other handheld electronic devices, continuously sometimes exceeding 8 hours per day, 5 days per week
  • Have a sufficient ability to communicate, through sight, hearing and/or otherwise, to perform assigned tasks and maintain proper job safety conditions
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • Perform other functions that may be assigned

  • The environment in the cleanroom is moderate in temperature with moderate to high noise level Working around lasers; working with ladders; working on platforms; and working around chemicals
