Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled engineer to deliver Azure and Microsoft Windows Server technical expertise and solutions to our teams at The Getty. In this role, you will work in partnership with various teams to provide recommendations, troubleshoot issues, and implement standards and solutions. You will manage both cloud-based and on-premise systems and services, assisting in the deployment of applications and services. You will be instrumental in projects to replace ERP and ITSM systems, and implement a Cloud roadmap. Additionally, you will oversee existing and emerging technologies and policies to develop scalable solutions.



Major Job Responsibilities

    Administer and manage Azure services and systems.
  • Oversee the Windows Server infrastructure, including deployment, configuration, and management.
  • Assist in managing Active Directory and Entra ID.
  • Work in partnership with teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • Ensure a strong security posture by securing systems.
  • Deploy infrastructure and services for new applications.
  • Utilize infrastructure as code and configuration management to deploy and maintain architectures.
  • Monitor and evaluate resource usage to recommend and develop system enhancements.
  • Resolve complex problems and provide consultation or training.
  • Create documentation for users, staff, consultants, and developers.
  • Act as a liaison with various teams across the campus.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • 2-5 years of Azure or Windows Server administration experience
  • Experience in systems design, implementation and analysis


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proven experience managing Azure services.
  • Proficient in managing Windows Server operating systems.
  • Skilled in managing Active Directory or Entra ID.
  • Adept at troubleshooting and resolving issues in partnership with teams.
  • Strong knowledge of system security and security mechanisms.
  • Experienced in monitoring systems and services.
  • Familiar with web-based technologies, including IIS.
  • Knowledgeable in infrastructure services such as networking, DNS, email, Kerberos, and firewalls.
  • Experience with container and microservices is a plus.
  • Ability to read and write in scripting languages like PowerShell or programming languages is a plus.
  • Experience with configuration management tools or infrastructure as code, such as Ansible or Terraform, is a plus.
  • Experience managing resources in AWS or other cloud environments is a plus.
  • Experience with VMware or other virtualization tools is a plus.
  • Strong ability to work in partnership with team members.
