Duties and Responsibilities |
- Carry out research experiments with appropriate controls under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI).
- Experimental techniques will include cell culture, cell transfection, live cell microscopy, western-blot, immunohistochemistry, and functional assays
- Evaluate and interpret experimental results.
- Manage lab organization, including supply orders, reagent preparation, equipment monitoring, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Provide training on research methods and lab procedures to students and staff.
- Communicate effectively with the PI and apply creative problem-solving skills.
- Attend weekly seminars and lab meetings.
- Perform other related tasks as needed.

Qualifications |
Minimum Education: Required: Bachelors Degree Preferred: Masters Degree Specify Degree(s): Biological or physical sciences Minimum Experience: Required: 1-2 years of previous job-related experience Preferred: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience.
The hire would have preferentially a Master's degree, or minimally a Bachelor's degree, in Biological or Chemical Sciences. We would prefer someone with 3-5 years of previous research experience but would also consider someone with 1-2 years experience.
The qualified applicant will have the ability to:
- Analyze and interpret data while meeting deadlines.
- Follow both written and verbal instructions, adhering to established protocols.
- Maintain precision and consistency, demonstrating ethical conduct.
- Collaborate effectively as part of a team, remaining calm and professional in interactions, with strong verbal communication skills.
