Do this and more as a Gordon Food Service intern. Our 12-week paid internship program offers firsthand experience and meaningful projects that have an impact on our business. Throughout the program, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals receiving mentorship, professional development and networking opportunities that will expose you to various aspects of our industry. Build Connections By: Working alongside professionals in a wide variety of departments with internships available in the following areas: Communications & Legal Risk IT Legal, Risk, Communications Finance Human Resources Marketing & Merchandising Supply Chain Attending unique networking opportunities in and outside of the office. Working alongside a mentor who is a proven leader in the organization Shadowing jobs across the organization to explore your career path potential Participating in Gordon Food Services' community and stewardship efforts. Developing personal and professional skills through workshops about communication, LinkedIn, corporate presence, and more. Build a Career in Safety Security by: As a Sustainability Intern, you will be involved in a blend of communication initiatives across the business. In addition to the impactful work you will complete within your department, you will: Data collection and data tracking related to organizational sustainability/stewardship-focused areas. Design and implement projects and initiates to support stewardship Depackaging, composting into divisions- write implementation plan or best practice Engagement and interviews with waste diversion vendors Support Green house gas inventory and updates - Carbon Manage module and data gaps. Competitor analysis Vendor engagement Help solicit and organize customer and employee feedback. Support sustainability survey response and organization. Meeting the following qualifications to be considered for our 2025 internship program: Currently enrolled in a university pursuing a Bachelor degree in Sustainability and Environmental Studies Problem solving and critical thinking skills Effective written and verbal communication skills. Time management and organizational skills. Ability and willingness to learn. Must be authorized to work in the US.
