Research Technician II- Dr. Sean Stocker's lab Job Summary Performs a variety of laboratory experiments and procedures. Prepares specimens. Oversees supply management. Operates and properly maintains equipment. Essential Functions The Department of Neurobiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine seeks individuals to fill the following research position. The position is within an autonomic research laboratory focuses on how the brain regulates the cardiovascular system in hypertension and chronic kidney disease. This is an entry level position with opportunity to increase in responsibility and duties over time. Successful candidate will manage rodent colonies (genotyping and breeding) and perform standard histology and tissue processing of brain and kidney tissue. The individual will report to the principal investigator. Physical Effort The position is not sedentary and does require standing or walking for some extended periods of time in the laboratory.
