MRC Post Doctoral Associate Mathematics - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - ( 24007403 ) The Department of Mathematics at the University of Pittsburgh invites applications for a postdoc in representation theory, number theory, or algebraic geometry to begin in the Fall Term of 2025. The appointment is for a three-year term. Responsibilities include collaborating on research with related faculty members, teaching two courses each year, and participating in research seminars. Required Qualifications: Completion of a Ph.D. degree in mathematics or a closely related field is required prior to the start of the appointment. Applicants should have strong research potential and some form of experience teaching mathematics. A complete application consists of (1) a cover letter, (2) a curriculum vitae, (3) a research statement, (4) a teaching statement, and (5) at least three letters of recommendation by November 15, 2024.
