What You'll Be Doing:

  • Designing innovative, physics-driven model solutions by analyzing customer data
  • Creating specifications for prototyping, and developing new modeling solutions
  • Maintaining and improving existing functionalities
  • Working with the field support team and customers to understand new technical requirements
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate modeling solutions into existing products
  • Addressing challenging problems in advanced software engineering to develop innovative and highly efficient software architectures, interfaces, algorithms, and data structures

What You'll Need:

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong desire to explore new technologies
  • Solid programming skills in C++ and Python and familiarity with data structures and algorithms
  • Strong background in physical modeling, statistical analysis, and optimization
  • Experience in numerical analysis and numericalcomputation, like Fourier analysis, sampling theory, basis functions, PDE solver, etc.
  • MS in CS/EE/physics/applied math or related fields with 5+ years, or PhD with 3+ years of experience

The Team You'll Be A Part Of:

The Synopsys Proteus OPC modeling team is responsible for the design, development, and productization of full-chip software tools for modeling and simulating lithography and etch processes (e.g., optical proximity effects, mask and wafer topography effects, resist effects, etc). As part of the R&D team, you will help develop and improve modeling components, explore new modeling techniques, and modernize the infrastructure.
