We are currently seeking applicants for a Journeyman Welder/Mechanic in the Mechanical Maintenance department of our Power Productions division located at the Thomas Hill Energy Center.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
* Under the direction of a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor and/or Lead Man, Journeyman Mechanics are responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical equipment and structures in and around the power plant including but is not limited to steam generators, turbine
generators, electrical generators, compressors, pumps, fans, vehicles, tractors, all coal handing equipment, valves, piping,

* Maintenance to include the repair of failures, machining of parts, rigging, welding, piping, lubricating, insulating, painting, issues tools,
cleaning and any other work to assure proper operation and appearance of equipment, structures, and grounds.

* Possess knowledge of ASME boiler and pressure vessel code welding practice and procedures as well as, the knowledge of welding
equipment operation.

* Required to read and interpret prints, sketches, and technical manuals.
* Required to work from heights.

Requirements and Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Minimum of five years' experience in heavy industrial mechanical repair with two of those years' working as a certified high-pressure welder.
OR
Minimum of five years' mechanical experience at an AECI plant, with experience in welding practice, to include, but not limited to,
rod-selection and type, and ability to set up welding machines.

* Obtain passing result from the applicable pre-employment test(s).

* Candidates must successfully complete the established AECI welding test(s) pre and post hire.
* Basic computer skills required.
* Achieve and maintain a competent level of technical skills and knowledge in order to satisfactorily perform duties and responsibilities.
* Demonstrate a strong mechanical ability and willingness to learn all components of the entire power plant
