Advancing the Farms-Food-Future innovation initiative, the ESF integrates cutting-edge technologies in agriculture, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), robotics, drones, and AI, with sustainable agricultural practices. Serving as a model for scalable and replicable farming solutions, ESF focuses on three core pillars: Research, Education, and Extension. It aims to facilitate interdisciplinary research, provide educational opportunities, and extend the benefits of innovation to marginalized communities through inclusive innovation. Smart Farm Test Bed Development & Deployment * Project Coordination & Technology Integration: Drive the planning, coordination, and implementation of smart farm projects by utilizing an integrated approach that includes technology development, data collection, and environmental systems. Manage the comprehensive inventory of data acquisition tools, ensuring high data quality and availability for both field and laboratory research activities to create and maintain ag tech R&D test bed. Advanced Data Management & Analytics * Comprehensive Data Handling & Archival Systems: Lead efforts in data collection, curation, and analysis across diverse datasets, including remote sensing, geospatial, mathematical, and statistical data. Develop efficient data storage workflows and protocols, allowing real-time access and transmission that supports ongoing research. Establish and deploy archival systems that enable easy access to both summarized and full datasets, fostering broader data usability. Data Process Development * Researcher Mentoring & Process Standardization: Mentor undergraduate and graduate researchers on best practices for data collection, analysis, visualization, and administration. Develop and standardize procedures for data handling, ensuring that all data-driven research activities are conducted with accuracy, efficiency, and security in mind. Research, Development & Science Communication * Project Support & Publication Contribution: Actively support project development through contributions to technical publications, research reports, and academic articles. Test and evaluate emerging technologies, software, and methodologies to guide and inform research and development efforts. Qualifications Basic qualifications
* MS degree (or equivalent degree) or five to ten years of experience demonstrating expertise in the relevant specialization in Engineering or related field. Preferred qualifications
