As a Patient Care Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing support to clients and the clinical staff.

Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:



  • Providing reception and clerical support in the clinic's front office
  • Scheduling appointments, taking messages, and responding to the needs of patients and callers
  • Assist with new clients (explain paperwork, verify completion, signatures & consents, obtaining insurance information, and completion, signatures & consents, obtaining insurance information, and input face sheets)
  • Schedule new clients appropriately according to staff qualifications and insurance requirements, then send text messages/emails to patients regarding upcoming appointments and canceled/rescheduled appointments
  • Process payments for co-pays, deductibles, co-insurance, self-pay, and missed appointments fees
  • Secure patient information and maintain patient confidentiality

Required Qualifications:



  • HS diploma/GED
  • 1+ years of experience in an office environment, preferably in mental health or medical setting



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Basic understanding of medical terminology
  • Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)
  • Written and verbal communication skills to explain sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical staff
  • Ability to work independently, as well as be part of the team, including accomplishing multiple tasks in an environment with interruptions
