Job Description Allstate's Consumer Product Solutions (CPS) team helps drive Allstate's future by identifying compelling business opportunities and developing selected opportunities into thriving businesses. We bring together skills in strategy, design, technology, and data to create new, consumer-focused insurance and protection products. Examples of past product and business innovations include:Exploration of risk assessment technologies that resulted in a B2B big data new co. Exploration of the emerging device (e.g. smart phone) protection space that resulted in a $1.4B acquisition Exploration of the digital protection space that resulted in a $525M acquisition Exploration of the peer-to-peer economy that resulted in a P2P car sharing new co. Exploration of the future of consumer data and AI that resulted in series A investment and joint product development with a leading Web3 startup CPS projects typically feature cross-functional teams with expertise in Business Strategy, Product, Technology, and Design. Business Architects are the hands on cross-functional people and project leaders of these teams. They lead the way in helping Allstate identify, define, develop, and market new product and business opportunities by leading their direct teams and collaborating closely across the Allstate enterprise. They are generalists who can come from a variety of backgrounds, but who have top tier business, technology, and consumer acumen. Remote work opportunities are available. Key Responsibilities
Relevant Experience Candidates will have 5+ years of experience and a track record of cross-functional leadership and value creation at top companies. Product Development Experience: the ideal candidate will have experience building new products and bringing them to market at leading digital consumer product companies. Ideal candidates can demonstrate an ability to build and lead cross-functional product development teams (incl. strategy & ops, product, design, software engineering). Ideal candidates are passionate and conversant about business today and in the future, with an eye for differentiation through digital technology, data/analytics/AI, and customer experience. Other Relevant Experience: other qualified candidates may also demonstrate a combination of: Start-Up/High Growth Experience: roles in product, strategy & ops, and/or business development with a hand in growing and scaling businesses in open-ended and fast-moving environments. Education: A bachelor's degree with a differentiated academic track record is preferred. MBA and/or technical degree is also preferred Structured Thinking: critical thinking skills are vital to this role, including broad business acumen to tackle a wide range of issues in an integrated fashion (e.g. market landscape, technology landscape, consumer landscape) and the ability to identify and define problems, collect data, establish facts and demonstrate a 'nose for value' to discern what is important and draw valid conclusions. Additionally, Strong systems thinking with the ability to see across the organization and connect the dots. Analytical Excellence: Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to bring a creative approach and demonstrate "next level of thinking" is required. Ability to synthesize complex information and present it in a clear, concise, and strategic manner. Powerful Communication: The right fit candidate will possess excellent presentation skills, powerful communication ability, and strong interpersonal skills. Leadership / Stakeholder Management: Successful track record of leading, developing and influencing a high-performing team at all levels of the organization, and experience developing strong relationships, including with executive stakeholders. Execution Orientation in Ambiguity: The successful candidate will thrive in ambiguity and is an out-of-the-box and creative thinker who is comfortable with questioning the status quo and generally accepted beliefs while delivering major strategic initiatives. Skills Compensation Compensation offered for this role is $121,600.00 - 206,650.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
