Job Objective: This position will be responsible for independently designing, planning, implementing, and managing special event projects, while maintaining daily operations for the Territorial Youth department. These responsibilities include the daily upkeep and data entry of Department databases and provide direct assistance to the TYS and ATYS on special projects and provide department clerical and production support. The ideal candidate will have thorough understanding of youth culture, experience in youth event production, and innovative ideas utilizing forms of media for communicating with leaders and young people. Essential Functions:
Other Responsibilities Central Bible and Leadership Institute - Plan, coordinate, attend and supervise track databases for youth attending the event, as assigned by the Territorial Youth Secretary. Coordinate and supervise youth office. Supply program assistance to track leaders. Territorial Refuel Seminar - Plan, coordinate, attend and supervise department office. Present seminars, teach classes and participate as assigned by the Territorial Youth Secretary. Regeneration - Plan, coordinate, attend and supervise department office. Present seminars, teach classes and participate as assigned by the Territorial Youth Secretary. Divisional Youth Leaders Seminar - Present training, prepare and distribute appropriate reports, analysis, forms and resources for the DYL. Divisional Youth Councils, Rallies, Camps and Corps Visits - Participate as assigned or invited, as a representative of the THQ Youth Department. Involvement will include participation in the leadership team, class instruction, support and encouragement of leaders and direct ministry to youth. Other Territorial Events - Participate as assigned. Summer Camp Visits - Provide leadership and support to Divisional Youth Leaders and their summer camps upon request. Territorial Youth Department - Work with other department staff members as needed. Assist the department head by performing special projects as requested. Perform other related work as required. Supervisory Responsibility: None Financial Accountability: This position requires preparing and managing those portions of the youth department budget related to youth Christian Education programs expenses to ensure compliance with budget constraints, in cooperation with the Territorial Youth Secretary. Physical Requirements: The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the duties of this job. Limited amounts of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying objects and materials up to 25 pounds, along with good speaking, hearing and vision ability and excellent manual dexterity. Travel: Will travel away from home for a variety of training events, rallies, camps, youth councils, national committees, and one-on-one mentoring meetings throughout the territory. Working Conditions: Work is performed in a typical office environment. Consultation is required in various settings throughout the territory, including corps, community centers, divisional headquarters offices, residential camps and conference centers.
