Position: Japanese Bilingual Audit and Tax Staff

A fast-growing CPA firm with a dynamic, start-up environment is expanding and looking for Japanese Bilingual Audit and Tax Staff. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of projects in attestation, tax, outsourcing, and M&A advisory based on your interests. Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in Audit or Tax at a CPA firm.
Must meet the educational requirements for a CPA license (CPA license holders are a big plus).
Conversational-level or higher proficiency in Japanese is required.
Strong knowledge in one of these areas: accounting, auditing, tax, or M&A advisory.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant accounting software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
Prepare audit work papers, financial statements, and notes to financial statements.
Prepare individual and business tax returns, and assist senior tax staff with tax planning.
Help with accounting outsourcing and M&A support projects as needed.
Gain hands-on experience with accounting procedures, systems, and work papers.
Manage multiple client engagements, ensuring timely completion within budget, and communicate progress to supervisors.
Identify accounting issues early and assess their impact on financial statements, working with firm specialists as necessary.
Stay updated on industry trends and share relevant insights with clients.
Proactively address client concerns and escalate issues to senior staff or managers when necessary.
Conduct research and handle special projects as needed.
