Job Description

Wanted: experienced Applications Developer with 5 years of experience and ability to obtain aDHS Clearance to support the development and sustainment MS SharePoint applications for our US Citizenship and Immigration Services customer.

THIS IS A 100% REMOTE OPPORTUNITY

US Citizenship is required to obtain a Department of Homeland Security Entrance on Duty (EOD) Clearance.

A week in the life of an Applications Developer, GIS & Sharepoint:



  • Create customized GIS layers
  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions to these problems
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to understand client requirements/issues to support and troubleshoot as challenges arise.
  • Support the customer's SharePoint Administrators, Power Platform app owners, power users and other users with issues.
  • Apply industry best practices and techniques to design, develop, test, deploy, support, and maintain:

    • Custom GIS layers and applicationsSharePoint main sites and subsites
    • SharePoint main sites and subsites
    • PowerApps model and Canvas driven applications
    • PowerApps workflows
    • Dashboards utilizing Tableau and SQL Reporting Services.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Technology Management, or a degree in a closely related field
  • At least 5 years of hands-on Applications Developer experience
  • US Citizenship is required to obtain a Department of Homeland Security Entrance on Duty (EOD) Clearance.
  • Ability to work efficiently and collaboratively in a remote work environment
  • Experience developing custom GIS layers in GIS software and tools such as ARC GIS, QGIS, or similar
  • Experience with GIS web services and APIs
  • Experience with developing MS SharePoint applications for SharePoint 365
  • Experience with SharePoint APIs
  • Experience with SQL scripting
  • Dashboard experience: SharePoint, Tableau, SSRS (SQL Reporting Services)
  • Experience with SharePoint Power Apps;
  • PowerShell experience
  • Experience developing code in ASP.NET, C#, JAVA Script, and R
  • Experience with Visual Studio

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary/hourly range for this position is $104K - $127K. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
