The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Position Summary

Reporting to the CUIMC Payroll Associate Director, the Payroll Analyst will process the weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly & monthly payrolls. Responsibilities include but are not limited to processing hiring documents and subsequent personnel and payroll transactions. Review of transactions for completeness, accuracy and conformity with union, university and governmental policy and regulations; investigates and resolves routine payroll issues and interact with departments and HRPC for resolution.

Responsibilities



  • Enter/review TBH new hires for Central officers & staff
  • Assist the department & employee payroll queries including incorrect payments and resolve discrepancies regarding paycheck amounts, deductions, leaves, direct deposit and other concerns
  • Review all transactions for completeness, accuracy, approvals, adherence to University policy and governmental regulations & interact with the various departments and central university offices to verify data and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process, review and audit miscellaneous Add Comp.
  • Confirm annual and pay period salaries
  • Process monthly Fellow payroll changes to stipends, new hires & terminations
  • Service Now requests & computations for stop payments, pay corrections & overpayment recovery
  • Approve completed paperwork to central university for processing
  • Assist with month and year-end payroll processing
  • All other duties as assigned.


Preferred Qualifications




  • Requires a bachelors degree or equivalent in education, training and experience, 3 years experience using PeopleSoft payroll



  • Proficiency in MS Office including knowledge of Excel



  • Excellent organizational, writing and communication skills
