Summary of Position
The Operations and Project Support Specialist is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations of the reception area within the Registrar's Office, while providing crucial support to departmental projects. This role involves managing administrative tasks, ensuring excellent service to students and faculty/staff, and supporting the work and projects of the department. The specialist will ensure that the reception area is organized and provides excellent service to walk-ins by managing a group of student employees. In addition, the person in this role will support department leadership in a variety of tasks supporting day to day operations. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and capable of juggling multiple tasks.

Duty/Responsibility

  • Manage the reception area of the Office of the Registrar to ensure that students, faculty and staff that come to the department for walk-ins are provided with a high level of customer service.
  • Provide support to visitors with processes related to the department, understand and explain policy, and ensure a warm transfer of students to other departments when necessary.



Duty/Responsibility

  • Manage a staff or student employees to support the reception area services.
  • This includes hiring, training and ongoing staff management to ensure that the staff is providing a high quality service experience to visitors and providing accurate information.



Duty/Responsibility

  • Provide department leadership with ongoing support related to the implementation of the Workday Student SIS.
  • This may include organizing staff schedules, assisting with meeting preparation, communication with other parties, and general organizational support to ensure the leadership is able to focus time on the implementation work.

  • Provide support for Curriculum and Catalog projects with data entry and tracking of assignments in the Workflow.


Duty/Responsibility
  • Provide support for transfer affairs on projects with data entry, reporting and the TES program content.

  • Provide support for the records area with projects, including student communication and other work as needed.

  • Effectively manage the office to ensure the successful day to day functions of the department.
  • Work closely with internal and external vendors that interface with the department, assist with new staff onboarding, and provide space management oversight in collaboration with the Registrar.
