Position Scope

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Centers Digital Strategy team is responsible for the organizations digital communications channels, which include the medical center and James consumer-facing websites, the College of Medicines website, cross-platform native mobile apps and several other web, mobile, email and social channels.

The Digital Channel Production Specialist is a product owner for the planning, deployment and management of digital signage in our hospitals and outpatient locations and may provide support for other technologies impacting our digital marketing initiatives. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of messages that reinforce the choice of Ohio State for health care to enhance the patient and visitor experience.

Position Summary

The Digital Channel Production Specialist is responsible for the oversight and day-to-day management of the digital signage in the lobbies and elevator corridors in The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center facilities. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, project management skills and creative vision.

The successful candidate will oversee the performance and optimization of digital signage, addressing technical issues and enhancing platform capabilities. They will collaborate with colleagues to gather information and design dynamic visual content that effectively communicates brand messages to patients and visitors.

Responsibilities include managing the digital signage strategy, creating and scheduling assets, configuring user access and system settings, content and visual quality assurance, and maintaining the vendor relationship. Additionally, the candidate will provide consultative support to other departments utilizing our platform technology.

Minimum Qualifications

  • *This is a term position with anticipated end date of June 30, 2026.

  • Bachelors degree in marketing, media production, communications, or a related field.

  • 4 years of relevant experience required. 4-8 years of relevant experience preferred.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Expert-level knowledge of content management systems to schedule, distribute and control digital content

  • Basic experience with graphic design, animation, video and photo tools (e.g., Adobe products) and familiarity with design principles

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, collaborative spirit, and a keen eye for detail.

  • Understanding of digital accessibility best practices and requirements.

  • Ability to work creatively and collaboratively with stakeholders to optimize system solutions.
