Title: Application Specialist

Location: Position can be located at one of our offices in Hamilton, NJ, Charleston, SC, Maitland, FL, Philadelphia, PA, Denver, CO and Dallas, TX. This is a hybrid office role.

Compensation: Pay range for this position is $31.25 - $40.38 per hour. 40-hour work week/Monday - Friday; standard business hours.

In the role of Applications Support Representative, you and your team members are responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for software applications across the Sonepar USA environment, specifically ERP, Warehouse Management System, and additional business process improvement applications. In this role, you will work closely with end-users to resolve issues and ensure smooth operation of business-critical applications. Each and every day you will engage with associates across the country and make an meaningful impact on the work they do and how they support our customers.

What You Will Do:



  • You will provide advanced technical support for application-based issues that have been escalated from the Level 1 support team.
  • As part of a team, you will perform necessary changes to the ERP database, including updates to customer, vendor, user, or bin locations.
  • In collaboration with the QA and Testing Manager you will ensure all application service requests are fulfilled and resolved efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Application Support team to develop new approaches and strategies for enhancing customer service quality.
  • Support system integrations and go-lives which at times means traveling to locations during these critical periods.


What You Bring:



  • 3+ years of experience in application support or a related role
  • 1+ years of experience in ERP application support or related role
  • A strong understanding of operating systems (Windows, UNIX)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High School diploma or GED
  • Authorized to work for Sonepar in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future


Desired credentials:



  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Knowledge or experience with EPICOR solutions
