Position Overview Join the Marlan and Rosemary Bourns College of Engineering as a Grant Writer/Research Development Strategist, where you will play a key role in supporting the college's research initiatives by developing high-quality grant proposals and research-related publications. This position offers a unique opportunity to work closely with faculty, staff, and multi-disciplinary teams to enhance the competitiveness of research projects and secure critical funding from a wide range of sources, including federal agencies and private foundations. What You Will Do? Grant Writing and Editing: Provide writing and editing support for multi-disciplinary, multi-partner research grants, ensuring clarity, organization, and alignment with sponsor guidelines. Project Coordination: Assist in the scheduling, coordination, and management of proposal development meetings, ensuring timely submissions. Research and Data Analysis: Conduct qualitative data collection and analysis to support grant development, helping to improve proposal quality and success rates. Partnership Development: Support efforts to build partnerships with external collaborators, both academic and industry, to strengthen grant applications. Position Details: This position is grant-funded and is subject to the availability of continued grant funding. Applicants are strongly encouraged to include a cover letter and resume with the application and required to provide a work/writing sample. The full salary range for the Grant Writer/Research Development Strategist is $66,500 - $118,300 per year. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $92,400 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time.
