The Office of Audit and Compliance (OAC) at the University of Virginia (UVA) seeks applications for a Staff Auditor and/or Senior Auditor for its UVA Health team. TheOffice of Audit and Complianceassists UVA's Board of Visitors and UVA Health management in their oversight, management, and operating responsibilities by providing independent assurance and consulting services to the UVA Health system. A hybrid/telework schedule is available, but a minimum amount of in-person works in Charlottesville, VA is required each week. Auditors conductvalue-added operational, financial, and compliance audits, as well asconsulting projects.Responsibilitiesinclude assisting with and performing engagement-level risk assessments, transaction testing, and analyzing business processes toidentifyopportunities toimproveinternal controls and UVA Health's operational and financial performance. Auditors are expected to work both independently and as part of a team to perform essential duties, ensuring high-quality work that meets professional standards and departmental methodology. Success in this role requires strong communication, writing, data analysis skills, effective time management, multitasking, and the ability to build internal and external relationships professionally and ethically. Job Description (Senior Auditor) A Senior Auditor assists in, or leads with supervision, the performance of value-added operational, financial, IT, and compliance audits and consulting projects. Duties include performing engagement-level risk assessments, testing transactions, and analyzing business processes to identify opportunities to enhance internal controls and improve the university's operational and financial performance. Senior Auditors perform crucial duties to ensure audit success as outlined below. They ensure engagements are conducted using appropriate department methodology to ensure high quality, high value work is produced in accordance with the profession's standards.

Physical Demands: This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally requires traveling some distance to attend meetings, process walkthroughs, and conduct field testing. The anticipated start date is approximately November 2024.
