Counselor

Location: MCI Norfolk based out of Southern Sector (BPR, OCCC, MTC, MCI Norfolk, PCC). Virtual with in person component

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm M-F 8 to 4 possible night/weekend when/needed

Pay rate: $50,000/annually

Qualifications:

• Bachelors preferred or in pursuit of Bachelors or equivalent experience in criminal justice, human services, education or closely related field required.
• DOC experience and/or Alcohol/ Drug certification preferred
• Minimum of high school diploma or GED required

The Tablet Technician/Counselor:

• Has a variety of administrative duties in support of virtual programmatic operations.
• Reports to the Tablet Program Director and provides all aspects of administrative support to the program director and program.
• Participates in a multi-disciplinary team meeting on a weekly basis or as directed.
• May include evening and weekend programming. Must have the means and ability to travel via own personal vehicle to all DOC facilities in Massachusetts to complete job functions.
