Recovery Coach

Location: Southbridge, MA. Peer Recovery Program

Pay Rate: $20.00-22.00/hour

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm some nights and weekends may be required.

The Recovery Coach is responsible for:

• Non-clinical support services within the Peer Recovery Support Centers to support members within the center.
• Providing this support from their own lived experience with addiction and/or co-occurring mental health disorders
• Providing health and wellness coaching and assist them with identifying and utilizing health and wellness supports in the community.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Recovery Coach training including supervision hours must be completed.
• Recovery coach certification required within first 12 months of employment.
• Must have lived experience with mental health, substance use conditions, or family supporting a family member with behavioral health challenges; and be in recovery. Prefer current or former recipient of behavioral health services.
• Strongly prefer that a candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations
• High energy level, flexibility, superior interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a multidisciplinary team atmosphere while also working independently.
• Strong skills in the areas of communication, follow through, collaboration, and customer service.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in contemporary Windows operating systems and Windows office suites with an emphasis on Word and Excel; ability to learn new systems; experience entering and working with data; and comfort and experience using mobile technologies.
