Job Description

This postdoctoral position is available for immediate filling and will be for a one-year term, renewable for a second year, based upon performance, funding, and a mutual desire to continue the appointment. The ideal candidate will have strong writing, quantitative, and communication skills, and the ability to think creatively about research. Responsibilities will include organic synthesis, as well as complex organic radiochemistry in the design and preparation of signature PET radiolabeled molecular probes for bioimaging across a broad scope of disciplines including animal research and precision medicine. The candidate selected for this position must meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States through the period of employment.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements include the need for a PhD Degree in medical or organic chemistry or related field by start of the appointment.

Candidates will be evaluated on:

  • Extensive experience in small-molecule organic synthesis and
  • Experience in the use of analytical instrumentation (including NMR, HPLC, GC, UV).
  • Demonstrated track record of independent research through peer-reviewed publications
  • Abundant experience and knowledge of C-11 and F-18 radiochemistry.
  • Experience and knowledge in biology, biochemistry, and pharmacology
