Our mission is to provide safe, effective, and compassionate mental health and substance use treatment.

We are searching for a Full Time, Day shift Master's-prepared Group Therapist for our Social Services Inpatient Team.

What Role Will You Play?

Group Therapists are integral in helping to create treatment plans for patients, as well as in implementation of the behavioral aspects of the treatment plan. You are part of a trauma-informed therapeutic team providing direct care to patients who are working to reduce acute symptoms of psychosis, mania, and other mental health struggles. What Will You Get To Do?

The Group Therapists are responsible for:

  • Utilizing group therapy interventions to provide treatment for patients teaching skills, providing psychoeducation, and allowing for processing via evidenced-based practices.
  • Tailoring the curriculum to work 1:1 with patients when needed.
  • Facilitating treatment team meetings to ensure all treatment plans are appropriately documented.
  • Participating in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings as an integral professional, clinical member.
  • Conducting therapeutic, collaborative meetings with patients on their treatment plans.
  • Documenting in the medical record.

Qualifications

What Does Fairfax Require for this Role?

A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a mental/behavioral health field is required as well as the desire to help our patients improve their lives. You will need an unrestricted independent clinical license from the WA DOH (LICSW, LMHCA, or LMFT), as well as a minimum of 2 years of experience facilitating groups in a hospital or psychiatric setting. All Fairfax employees must successfully pass the Handle With Care course completed during New Employee Orientation. A positive attitude and outlook will make you successful in this role.
