The Director leads the Office of High School Initiatives and, in close consultation with the Associate Dean of Academic Partnerships, is responsible for the maintenance and furtherance of the College's Dual Enrollment and High School Enrichment programs. The Director will serve as the point person for these and any future initiatives including collaborative grant opportunities related to the College's partnerships with school districts, charter schools, and other secondary school entities. This is a highly relational position that requires the Director to serve as concierge and bridge between secondary school leaders and staff, primarily at the high school level, and the College. The Director will ensure that all high school programs under their purview are entirely aligned with operational and strategic imperatives of the Department of Academic Partnerships. This will be accomplished through this Director both reporting directly to the VP Enrollment & Vice Provost and indirectly to the Associate Dean of Academic Partnerships.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain mutually productive relationships with existing school district, charter, and parochial school partners and develop new relationships/opportunities with both existing and new high school partners.

  • Lead and oversee the operations of the high school programs, ensuring the timely and effective delivery of the Dual Enrollment (DE) and High School Enrichment (HSE) programs.

  • Direct the work and evaluation of DE/HSE staff.

  • Coordinate course offerings related to high school initiatives with academic department deans and staff, the campus bookstore.

  • Manage billing arrangements for the Dual Enrollment program with Student Accounts, and assist with any source of tuition funding, such as that received via the Foundation Office.

  • Ensure representation of high school programs at college functions for prospective, new, returning, as well as high school functions and participate in such functions.

Secondary Functions:

  • Provide advising and communication support for high school enrichment students/families as needed.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $73,695 - $85,000 (commensurate with experience)

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree & 4-6 years in educational partnerships (preferred) or Bachelor's Degree and 7-10 year's of related experience in a community college context.

  • Managerial and staff training experience required.

  • Strong interpersonal and analytical skills.

  • Proficiency with computers and comfortable with varied technologies.

  • Strict attention to detail.

  • Good driving record.
