The Seasonal Warehouse Driver will maintain the Distribution Center building, assist with donation pick-ups, deliveries, seasonal programs support and perform housekeeping and janitorial services at the 60th Street facility.

This position is seasonal and will begin ASAP and run through January 17, 2025.

About the role:



  • Assist with pick-ups and deliveries of collection barrels and donated items
  • Assist with sorting materials and donations coming into the warehouse
  • Prepares the warehouse for seasonal programs as directed; setting up tables, chairs, pipe and drape, etc.
  • Operates forklift and pallet jacks to receive deliveries and move items in the warehouse
  • Perform housekeeping duties, warehouse program floor, sorting area, break room, restrooms, volunteer entrance/lobby, hallways and common areas on a daily basis according to established procedures. This includes sweeping and mopping floors, vacuuming, cleaning toilets, keeping restrooms supplied with essential toiletries; removing trash and garbage; etc.
  • Keeps grounds and parking lot clean from broken glass, trash, etc. Removes trash from outdoor garbage containers.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies, notifying supervisor of low inventories.
  • In-house laundry, to include volunteer vests, kitchen linens, etc.
  • Assists with maintaining the grounds, performing snow removal and salting as assigned.
  • Follows and complies with all safety and work rules and regulations. Maintains departmental housekeeping standards.
  • Assists in unloading/loading deliveries.
  • Assist in setting up and tearing down all areas of seasonal programs


Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Certifications: Valid Wisconsin Driver's license preferred, with clearance to drive from The Salvation Army's insurance carrier. Complete online and on-site forklift certification training process within the first 2 weeks.

Experience: Six to twelve months of related work experience.
